One Day Olympia.

ONE DAY TRIP TO OLYMPIA

For the people that know that "transportation in Greece is a challenge".

We have met many visitors that are short of time and want to visit ancient Olympia from Athens on a "One Day Trip".
The Intercity bus from Athens to Olympia takes about 6 hours including the stops on the way and the change of busses in Pyrgos.
It is not possible to do the trip in a day. The 06.30 bus arrives at Olympia +/- 12.15 and you must take the 16.15 bus, to arrive in Athens at 21.50

In addition, there are few more negative points that make the trip more difficult:

You cannot pre-book and buy on line your departure ticket from Athens to Pyrgos,
You can only buy your onward ticket from Pyrgos to Olympia when you arrive in Pyrgos from Athens,
you cannot book your return from Pyrgos to Athens, except when you arrive in Pyrgos, risking to find your return fully booked.

Trying to satisfy these requests, starting from May 19, we organise every Saturday:

A One Day Trip from Athens to Olympia.

06.30 - 7.00am: Pick up from the hotel and drive out of Athens.
08.00am: Short stop (15 min) at the Corinth canal.
Arrive at Olympia before 11.00 and drop off near the archaeological museum.
For the rest of the day you are on your own to visit the museum, explore the ancient site, relax and have lunch.
15.50 meet the driver and depart from Olympia at 16.00 to arrive in Athens and get dropped off at your hotels.

TERMS and CONDITIONS:
In order to book a seat for this trip you contact us at least 10 days before the departure.
When we confirm the booking, you must advance, within 3 days, a non refundable deposit of 25.00 euro to secure it.
The 75.00 euro price covers the transportation ONLY from your hotel to Olympia and back to your hotel in Athens in the evening.
